Meet Your Tutor

The principal tutor at Saltdean Drum School is Lance Taylor, a seasoned drummer and performer with over 25 years of experience. Lance studied with Phil Solomon, Adam Bushell, and Pat Garvey, earning a Trinity College graded distinction in musical performance.

His performance career spans the UK and Europe, including tours with artists like Angeleena Presley at the Cambridge Folk Festival and supporting The Beat. He has also recorded with Mark Chadwick of The Levellers and, in the 1990s, in New York with the indie pop band Luminous.

Lance’s versatility shines through dozens of gigs across a wide range of styles, including rock, blues, funk, country, and folk.
